Karen Fisman leads PwC Canada's mid-market sponsor coverage, initiating and building lasting relationships with private equity firms, family offices and independent sponsors.
Karen ensures that mid-market sponsor clients have access to relevant PwC deal flow, and connects them with essential resources and expertise to support their deal processes. Prior to joining PwC, Karen was a Director at an independent North American investment bank, where she built and led a successful Private Equity coverage program.
Joseph Lo, Partner - Sagard Private Equity Canada
Joseph Lo is a Partner at Sagard, a multi-strategy alternative asset management firm active in venture capital, private equity, private credit and real estate. Jo is responsible for originating, structuring, investing and portfolio management. He is a member of the Sagard Private Equity Canada investment committee and leads SPEC’s Toronto office.
Prior to joining Sagard, Jo was a Partner at PwC. Previously, he served as a sponsor-backed CEO in healthcare and multi-site consumer retail. Earlier, he was an executive at BCE, where he spent a decade in various operating roles. Jo began his career at Kearney where he advised clients on matters of strategy and operations.
